Hey, my name is Shaan Patel.

I’m a Bay Area native (born and raised) and graduated from Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose, CA.

From there, I headed off to the midwest to attend Purdue in West Lafayette, Indiana, where I studied finance and learned what a boilermaker is. During my sophomore summer, I interned at a venture studio called Fountane, helping pre-seed startups like StayNow refine their strategies and raise funding.

I got my first taste of entrepreneurship six months later when I built Data Powered Sports, consumer betting software that identified Positive Expected Value (+EV) bets by pinning Daily Fantasy Sports apps like PrizePicks & Underdog Fantasy against traditional player prop markets like DraftKings and FanDuel. Scaled to 5,500 followers on X, 35M impressions, and $XXXX MRR.

After Data Powered Sports, I built a few more software projects which you can check out below. However, currently I'm working on a potentially ground-breaking consumer app.

Outside of work, my hobbies come and go. Lately, I’ve gotten back into watching basketball and working out. In the past, I’ve enjoyed playing the drums, creating graphic design, and strategy games like Clash Royale (was a top player in North America for a brief time).
